338 blood donors donated blood during the National Mega Blood Donation Campaign Fortnight.

Nawanshahr- National Mega Blood Donation Campaign Fortnight was celebrated across the country from 17th September to 2nd October 2025. During this, voluntary blood donation camps, oath taking ceremony dedicated to the movement, awareness seminars, blood grouping camps, speech competitions, spot painting competitions etc. and other awareness activities were organized.

The meeting, consisting of Local Blood Donors Council President SK Sarin, Vice President GS Toor, Secretary JS Gidda, Assistant Secretary Anju Sarin, Finance Secretary Parvesh Kumar Dr. Ajay Bagga, Noble Sarin, Yuvraj Kalhiya and Manager Manmeet Singh, reviewed the activities carried out during the fortnight and expressed satisfaction over the fortnight activities and said that this has increased awareness about safe and voluntary blood donation service.
It was informed in the meeting that during this fortnight, 338 blood units were collected by BDC through blood donation camps, seven free blood grouping camps were organized and two awareness seminars were organized at the local RK Arya College and BLM Girls College respectively. Apart from this, a pledge-taking ceremony was organized at the local Khundaan Bhawan. Meanwhile, it is also worth mentioning that the annual National Blood Donation Day is celebrated on October 1.
