Haryana/Hisar: Ashok Kumar Garg has taken over as the Managing Director of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam. Ashok Kumar Garg, Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, took over as the Managing Director of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam today at the DHBVN headquarters in Hisar.
With the assumption of charge, the Managing Director held an introductory meeting, in which all the officers gave details of their respective responsibilities. The Managing Director inquired about the facilities provided to the electricity consumers and the smooth supply of electricity with quality.
The Managing Director directed the officers to reconcile the capital deposited by the consumer every 15 days. Proper arrangement of drinking water and clean environment should be available in all the offices of DHBVN.
The newly appointed Managing Director was felicitated by the Board of Directors of DHBVN. Director (Project) Vinita Singh and Director (Finance) Ratan Kumar Verma welcomed him. Chief Engineer of Administration and Headquarters, Superintending Engineer, Executive Engineer and other administrative officers etc. were present with him.
Ashok Kumar Garg, born in Jind, Haryana, is an IAS officer of the year 2009. While performing many responsibilities given by the Haryana Government, he will now also discharge the responsibility of Divisional Commissioner of Hisar, Chief Executive Officer of HMDA and Managing Director, South Haryana Electricity Distribution Corporation.
It is worth mentioning that Garg has previously worked as Additional Managing Director of South Haryana Electricity Distribution Corporation.
