Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 04 July 2025: Mrs. Komal Mittal, District Magistrate, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar in exercise of the powers vested in her under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023 (BNSS), prohibits going near/bathing/giving water to animals or bathing in canals/streams/rivers/ponds and ponds flowing within the limits of District SAS Nagar until further orders.
Giving more information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal said that due to heavy rains in the district SAS Nagar, water is flowing at full speed in canals, streams, rivers and the water level in ponds, ponds and canals/streams/rivers has increased a lot.
 Due to the hot weather, many people/children bathe in canals/streams/rivers/ponds and ponds or take their animals to water them, due to which there is a fear of any untoward incident.
Apart from this, the village sarpanches should make announcements through chowkidars to prevent people from going near the flowing canals/streams/rivers/ponds and ponds or bathing/watering or bathing their animals.
She said that this order is issued in the public interest. This order will remain in force in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district from July 04, 2025 until further orders.
