SAS Nagar, May 4 - Sur Saanjh Kala Manch (Regd.) Kharar is presenting the second Bhushan Dhyanpuri Memorial Memorial Award to Japan-based eminent writer Parminder Sodhi. In this, an honorarium of Rs. 21 thousand, honor symbol and phulkari will be presented. This honor will be given in Chandigarh in the second week of July. During this period there will also be a state level Kavi Darbar.
Forum President Surjit Suman and General Secretary Jagdeep Sidhu told that the amount of this award is given by the famous storyteller Balijit. He said that selection is usually done on the basis of merit by forming a committee.
He said that Parminder Sodhi has worked as a bridge between world literature, especially Japanese literature and Punjabi literature. His 14 poems, one story collection, three dictionaries, one philosophy, seven translated books have been published. His first prose books: Rabb De Dakiye (2005), Kudrat De Dakiye (2013) Main Charkha Tu Katan Wali (2020), Daud Ke Kaun Milda Hai (2021), Jharne Di Atmakatha (2023), Maafee Kis To Magaan (2024) ) has been published.
