Hamir Singh, a senior journalist associated with the Punjabi Tribune, participated as the chief speaker in this ceremony organized with the special initiative of Prof. Ajit Langeri, the coordinator of the Harbhajan Singh Thought Forum and the joint efforts of the old students of the college. While Lt. General JS Dhillon, sports promoter Kulwant Singh Sangha, Prof. Dr. Parvinder Singh, general secretary of the council Prof. Apinder Singh, Shaminderjit Singh Bains, Sohan Singh Deo and writer Harbhajan Singh Cheda were present in the presiding committee of the ceremony. At the beginning of the ceremony, Prof. Ajit Langeri expressed his views on the contribution made by Pir Harbhajan Singh to the field of sports and education. And welcomed all suggestions and support for further development of the forum. On this occasion, children's literature writer Baljinder Mann presented his views on the history of the college. Head of Punjabi Department Dr JB Sekhon shared information about the academic, literary and sports achievements of the students. Senior journalist Hamir Singh, the keynote speaker of the function, discussed the challenges facing the current Punjab. He expressed his concern over the political directionlessness in Punjab, the unnecessary migration of students, the farmers' crisis, etc., and the suppression of freedom of expression and the destruction of democratic institutions in the country. He invited the people to create a good society by taking guidance from Nabri and other pro-people movements of Sikh history of Punjab. During the ceremony, famous lyricist and singer Jagsir Jinda won the audience's attention by attacking many social challenges including immorality, corruption etc. of political parties and religious leaders through satirical steps. On this occasion, famous singer Dev Dildar presented various forms of Sufi singing and folk singing and enchanted the audience. During the ceremony, the book edited by Harmeet Atwal on the literary contribution of Harbhajan Singh Chera was released. In the end, Dr. Parvinder Singh, Principal of the college shared the words of thanks. On this occasion, Harjit Singh Nagra, Kamaljit Singh Canada, Lakhvir Singh Nagra, Roshanjit Singh Panam, Ravinder Kaur Bains, Prof. Dalwinderjit Kaur, Gurdeep Ruby USA, Balwinder Babbu, Bant Singh Bains, Preet Nitpur, Rupinderjot Singh, Pir Balwinder Kaur, Vijay Bombeli, Many old students from the college including Mr. Surinderpal Pradesi, Kanwaljit Kanwar etc. were present.
