Patiala, March 8 - The budget presented by the Aam Aadmi Party government will open new avenues for the development of Punjab, will mark another milestone and will give Punjab a new direction.
   These views were expressed by Aam Aadmi Party in-charge of Patiala Lok Sabha Constituency and Chairman of Punjab State Container and Warehousing Corporation Limited Inderjit Singh Sandhu during a meeting. He said that the budget of the state will play an unparalleled role in creating a progressive, prosperous and colorful Punjab. This is a pro-people budget of a pro-people government in which no new tax has been imposed and focus has been placed on education, health and agriculture. In this budget of the Hon'ble government, 16,987 crore rupees have been kept for the development of the education world. Calling the budget a symbol of Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's visionary thinking, he said that equal care has been taken for every class in this budget. This budget will also help pave the way for increase in farmers' income. He said that 575 crore rupees have been earmarked for promoting crop diversification and this will give a new direction to the agriculture sector. For the first time, the farmer-friendly government has earmarked a grant of 40 crores for the Punjab Agricultural University.
