Patiala, February 20 - Gym trainer Harpreet Singh (25), a resident of Jamal Colony in Nabha, who was injured with sharp weapons ten days ago, died today. Jealous of his good body, some young men who came to his gym surrounded him and beat him up.
The police had earlier registered a case of assault against four accused in this case, but now the clauses of murder have also been added to them. Harpreet had 42 stitches in her head during the attack. He was unconscious after the attack. According to Harpreet Singh's mother Surjeet Kaur, her son Harpreet used to go to the gym for many years. Due to this, his body was completely cured. People coming to the gym used to take training from him and often asked about his diet. Accused Balwinder Singh also used to visit this gym. Seeing Harpreet's health, she became jealous. Due to this grudge, the accused along with their accomplices attacked Harpreet on February 10. Accused Balwinder Singh along with his accomplices attacked Harpreet with sharp weapons and took away his iPhone with the intention of killing him. A case of murder has been registered against these persons at the Kotwali Nabha police station.
