Nawanshahr - As part of the ongoing monthly campaign related to road safety, police organized camps at different places of Nawanshahr to make the public aware. Under the leadership of DSP Traffic Surinder Singh Chand, the traffic police raised banners near the city's bus stand and stopped minibus drivers and drivers of large vehicles carrying loads and made them aware of road safety rules. And his team SI Harbhajan Das in-charge of District Traffic Police and ASI Praveen Kumar and ASI Satnam Singh in-charge of District Traffic Education Cell distributed the printed material indicating the rules to them. DSP Surinder Singh Chand encouraged the motorists to keep a safe distance as per the traffic rules by putting bright stickers, reflectors etc. on the tippers. ASI Praveen Kumar, in charge of District Traffic Education Cell, made the auto drivers of the city aware about road safety. Literature showing necessary information was also given. The district traffic police also checked the lights and other required documents of heavy vehicles. On this occasion, the entire team including Saathi City Head Naresh Kumari was present.
