Chandigarh- Sardar Manpreet Singh Ayali, Jathedar Gurpratap Singh Wadala, Jathedar Iqbal Singh Jhundan, Jathedar Santa Singh Ummedpuri and Bibi Satwant Kaur, active members of the Recruitment Committee constituted from the ramparts of Sri Akal Takht Sahib on December 2, 2024, expressed satisfaction over the support received for the recruitment drive and thanked all the workers.
A general session has been called at Teja Singh Samundri Hall on August 11 to fulfill the sentiments of the Sikh panth and to look for Punjab-friendly leadership including the President of the regional party Shiromani Akali Dal.
State representatives elected from other states including Punjab will participate in this session. The members of the Recruitment Committee informed that from July 21 to July 30, district and state representatives will be elected democratically in constituencies across the state.
The members of the Bharti Committee informed that the Hukamnama Sahib issued had ordered that the various factions should come together, in the light of those orders, the members of the committee again made an open call and appealed to all the Panthic factions to unite.
Specifically, the President of the Bharti faction, who had revolted and rebelled against the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, was also appealed to surrender before Sri Akal Takht Sahib along with all other leaders and companions by renouncing their posts and dissolving the party.
After this, the Bharti Committee clarified its stand and said that as per the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the orders of removing the leadership that has lost moral authority and giving the Panth-accepted leadership will be strictly followed.
