Awareness was also given about Janani Suraksha Yojana, the law of PNDT Act and strict punishment, free treatment for girls up to five years and other facilities being run by the government.
On this occasion, suits, ryudis, peanuts were distributed to the new born daughters. While participating in the Lohri ceremony of newly born girls, he invited people to give equal opportunities and encouragement to girls to make them more empowered and successful. Addressing the gathering, SMO said that daughters are our pride Those who have touched and proved heights in various fields on the basis of their hard work and talent. That they are not inferior to anyone. He said that along with parents, we all have a duty to create such an environment for girls through which they can become stronger and more successful.
Harpreet Singh Block Extension Educator said that people should also give daughters the right to birth, education and freedom.
