Chandigarh, October 2 - Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has set the goal of developed India by the year 2047. The path to developed India goes through Vocal for Local, Self-Reliance and Swadeshi. He said this while addressing the crowd present after inaugurating the Diwali fair in Surajkund, Faridabad on Thursday.

Shri Naib Singh Saini, while greeting the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Late Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversary, also paid tributes. He said that this time the theme of the Diwali fair is Self-Reliance India-Swadeshi Fair and also Unite Families.
Just as the freedom movement got strength from the mantra of Swadeshi, similarly the prosperity of the country will also get strength from the mantra of Swadeshi. We should buy goods that are Made in India, in which the youth of the country have worked hard. History shows that when India was called the golden sparrow, Swadeshi had a big contribution in the prosperity of that time.
The Chief Minister said that this fair, which will continue till October 7, is a strong platform for promoting local trade, culture and art along with festivities and entertainment. The Diwali fair, a festival of Swadeshi, also boosts the spirits of the country's artisans. He told the people who had already reached the fair that if you buy goods from here, not only the artisans will get encouragement but the country will also move forward towards self-reliance.
To make the concept of Swadeshi a mass movement, the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp campaign is being run across the country so that the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee will continue till December 25.
He said that the art works, products, songs and music displayed in the Diwali fair present a picture of a miniature India. Also, in the culture zone, a glimpse of Ek Bharat-Shresh, Bharat is seen. This fair also provides an opportunity to rural producers to know the preferences of urban consumers.
He also praised the Department of Tourism, artisans, song and music groups for organizing the fair. Before this, he also visited the fair premises and encouraged the participants of the fair. Before inaugurating the program in the main chowpal, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to the portraits of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Survagasi Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Minister for Cooperation, Heritage and Tourism Dr. Arvind Sharma welcomed Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini on the occasion of the inauguration of the Diwali fair. He said that on the appeal of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, today the country is moving forward with Swadeshi products.
Swadeshi products play a very important role in making the country self-reliant. Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, moving forward on the Prime Minister's resolution, had announced the organization of the fair in his budget speech to promote Swadeshi products in the state.
The Tourism Department, moving in this direction, has first organized the Mango Mela, then the Rakhgari Mela and now the Diwali Mela in Surajkund. In this fair, which will start from today and continue till October 7, indigenous products have been displayed at about 450 places.
Appealing to the people who attended the inauguration ceremony, he said that by adopting Swadeshi, they should take a resolution to make the country self-reliant. The Prime Minister has also given the gift of festivals to the countrymen by simplifying the rates of GST.
