
47 cadets of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Preparatory Institute clear NDA written examination.
Chandigarh, October 2: 47 cadets of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute, SAS Nagar (Mohali) have achieved a remarkable feat by clearing the National Defence Academy (NDA) (II) written examination for NDA-156 course. The results in this regard were declared by the UPSC late on Wednesday evening. The course will start in June 2026.

The results in this regard were declared by the UPSC late on Wednesday evening. The course will start in June 2026.
Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Mr. Aman Arora said that out of 57 cadets of this institute who appeared for the NDA (II) written examination, 47 cadets have cleared the examination with an impressive success rate of 82.45 percent. This is the highest success rate achieved by the institute so far for NDA (I) or NDA (II) examinations.
Congratulating the cadets, Mr. Aman Arora said, “These cadets are the pride of Punjab. I wish them all the best for their SSB interview and training.”
Expressing satisfaction over the results, Director of the Preparatory Institute, Major General (Retd) Ajay H Chauhan, VSM said that the cadets will soon appear for their Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. He congratulated the staff and teachers of the institute for their dedicated efforts.
He informed that seven out of the nine cadets of the institute have cleared the AFCAT examination, the results of which have been declassified recently. He informed that since the inception of the institute, 179 of its alumni have become commissioned officers in the defence services.
