Nawanshahr;- In view of Diwali, those wishing to get a temporary license to sell firecrackers can submit their applications from October 1 to 6 at 5 pm at the nearest service center, subdivision wise. Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh said that only the applications received during the specified time will be considered.
He said that on October 13, 2025, a draw will be held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office through a lottery system to issue temporary licenses for selling firecrackers. He said that only those persons to whom temporary licenses will be issued will be authorized to sell firecrackers.
He said that the general public should also purchase firecrackers from authorized persons at the designated places and legal action will be taken against those who sell firecrackers illegally. He clarified that one person can submit one application and more than one application will not be admissible.
