Garhshankar 20 March- Bhagwant Mann government has strongly condemned the harassment of the struggling farmers of Punjab late at night and breaking of their tents at the behest of corporate houses and the BJP government at the center.
In a statement issued to the press, DTF State Joint Secretary Mukesh Kumar, District President Sukhdev Dancewal and Hansraj Garhshankar said that the present government came to power by raising the slogan of change among the people of Punjab and before coming to power, it had made many promises to the people of Punjab, farmers, laborers and employees, but as soon as they came to power, the Chief Minister, MLAs and Ministers, intoxicated with power, forgot the people of Punjab and started serving the corporate and BJP central government.
The proof of which is found in the fact that on one hand a meeting was held with the struggling farmers last night, while on the other hand they were immediately arrested, their tents were uprooted and all their belongings were snatched, due to which their anti-farmer and anti-people face has been exposed.
He warned the Punjab government that the government is under the illusion that it will suppress the people's struggles with the help of police force. He called upon all the justice and democracy loving people of Punjab to fight against this atrocity of the government.
