
Lok Sabha Elections: Three candidates filed papers on the first day of nominations
Patiala, May 7 - On the first day of nominations for Lok Sabha Constituency Patiala-13 for the Lok Sabha general elections to be held on June 1, 2024, three candidates have submitted their nomination papers to the Returning Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Patiala Shaukat Ahmet Pare.

The District Election Officer said that independent candidates Dimple and Jagdish Kumar along with Bharatiya Jawan Kisan Party candidate Devinder Rajput have submitted their nomination papers. He said that the nomination papers of all the candidates who submitted nominations are available on Android and IOS of the Election Commission of India. Based mobile phone app 'Know Your Candidate' (KYC) can also be viewed by downloading in their mobile phones. Apart from this, their affidavits submitted by the candidates have also been uploaded on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, 'CEO Punjab.gov.in' and the website of the District Administration, Patiala, 'Patiala.NIC.in'. People and voters can see the affidavit of their candidates.
Shaukat Ahmed Pare said that the nomination papers will be received till May 14 at the Deputy Commissioner's Court Room (Room No. 108) from 11 am to 3 pm. He said that the scrutiny of nominations will be held on May 15, Wednesday and the candidates will be able to withdraw their nominations till May 17.
