
Red Cross celebrated Independence Day at Old Age Home and Special Home, Ram Colony Camp.
Hoshiarpur- Deputy Commissioner-cum-President District Red Cross Society Ashika Jain along with her son and members of the society shared the joys of Independence Day at Old Age Home and Special Home, Ram Colony Camp. On the evening of 15th August, the Deputy Commissioner warmly greeted the elderly and received their blessings.

Fruits and cakes were distributed to all the residents by the Red Cross Society. The colorful dance program presented by the children of the special home added to the vibrancy of the event, which was welcomed with loud applause by the people present.
Further expressing the spirit of devotion, Mrs. Rakesh Kapila created a spiritual atmosphere by singing bhajans along with the elderly, which touched the hearts of the attendees. Apart from the Old Age Home, the Red Cross members also visited the Civil Hospital in Hoshiarpur, where they distributed fruits and other food items to the patients, so that the message of love and compassion could spread throughout the society.
Mangesh Sood (Secretary, Red Cross Society), Aditya Rana (Joint Secretary), Rajiv Bajaj (Vice Chairman), Vinod Ohri, Kuldeep Kohli, Kumkum Sood and Sarabjit Singh were also present on the occasion. Their presence and active participation made the event more important.
