Patiala- On the completion of 150 years of Government Mahindra College Patiala, a ceremony was held under the leadership of Maninder Pal Kaur Sidhu. On which occasion, Punjab Education Minister Hon’ble Mr. Harjot Singh Bains Ji and MLAs of Patiala-1 and 2 attended as chief guests.
On this occasion, the Class Fourth Government Employees Union Sub Committee College Committee, College President Mr. Ram Lal Rama, Baljinder Singh, Mukesh Secretary, presented a demand letter regarding the employees of all colleges of Punjab.
In this demand letter, it was requested to regularize the AF employees (raw employees) and pay their salaries from the government treasury and to recruit new ones to fill the shortage of employees.
Along with this, there was also a demand to close the system of contracting in government departments as per the notification of 2021 of the Punjab Government and to recruit through the departments only. This contracting is being continuously opposed by the State President Mr. Darshan Singh Lubana Ji. On this occasion, Professor Manmohan Shammi, Prof. Rekhi, Prof. Amit Samra, etc. were present.
