
Police of Derabassi Police Station have recovered 3.25 kg of opium from 02 accused

SP (Investigation) Saurav Jindal while giving information said that as per the directions of SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans, during the campaign against bad elements, Talwinder Singh, Captain of Police (Operation), Bikramjit Singh Brar, Deputy Captain of Police Sub Division Derabassi and Inspector Sumit Mor under the supervision of the Chief Officer, was present at the bus stand Mubarikpur on 06-08-2025, where suspicious vehicles and suspicious persons were being checked. During this, 02 young suspects were seen standing at the bus stand, out of which one of the young men was wearing a black-gray backpack on his shoulders. They were briefly checked by ASI Charanjit Singh of Derabassi police station, then 03 kg 250 grams of opium was recovered from the youth named Sagar Kumar, who was wearing a backpack. Case No. 225 dated 06-08-2025 u/s 18-61-85 NDPS Act was registered against them at Police Station Derabassi and the accused were arrested.

1. Accused Sagar Kumar son of Bharat Singh resident of village Asalatpur, Police Station Bulari, District Moradabad, U.P. whose age is about 24 years. Who is 08th pass and is married. (No previous case has been registered against the accused)
2. Chirag son of Chandra Prakash resident of village Raim Nagla, Police Station Kudarki, District Moradabad, U.P. currently resident of House No. 359, Village Mataur, Sector-71, Mohali whose age is about 22 years. Who is 09th pass and is unmarried. (Accident case registered against the accused in UP)
Details of investigation of the accused:-
The accused are being produced in court and remanded in police custody, during which it will be ascertained from whom the accused had purchased the drugs and where they were to be supplied.
