Hoshiarpur- Under the leadership of former BJP Rajya Sabha MP Avinash Rai Khanna and his wife Meenakshi Khanna, special children of Atamsukh Atamdev Ashram, students of Rayat Bahra International School and other women celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with the police personnel undergoing training at PRTC Jahan Khel.
On this occasion, Avinash Rai Khanna said that Raksha Bandhan gives us a sense of sacred relationships and affection. He said that police personnel perform their duty for the safety of the people while staying away from their families. To connect such personnel with us, it is important that we celebrate every festival with them, so that they feel the family atmosphere.
Khanna further said that just as the personnel are ready for us day and night, we should also share our happiness with them while fulfilling our responsibility. Rakhi reminds us of our loyalty and accountability.
On this occasion, his wife Meenakshi Khanna kept the jawans captive. Khanna also kept the female jawans captive. The special attraction of this event was the celebration of Rakhi by special children with the police jawans.
