Patiala- Gyandeep Sahit Sadhana Manch (Regd) Patiala organized a literary event in the seminar hall of the Language Department. In this event, chaired by Dr. GS Anand, the poetry book ‘Ehsaas’ by poet Manjit Kaur Azad (Principal Retd.) was launched. Inaugurating the event, General Secretary of the Manch Balbir Jalalabadi shared information about the creation process of Manjit Kaur ‘Azad’ and the book.
Speaking as the chief guest, Dr. Parminder Jeet Kaur said that the poet has tried to put the pain of the society into words through her feelings. Speaking as the paper speaker, Dr. Arvinder Kaur Kakra argued that the humanistic thinking of the poet is concerned about keeping relationships alive while portraying the problems in the society.
Starting the debate on the paper, Dr. Mahesh Gautam also called the book a poem of pain. In addition to the above, Narinder Pal Kaur, BP Singh Dhaliwal, Surinder Kaur Verma and Charanjit Kaur also presented their views in the debate. Dr. GS Anand, while delivering the presidential address, said that this book gives a person the courage to recognize his inner flaws. The forum also launched the latest issue of the magazine ‘Gusaiyan’ published under the editorship of Kulwant Singh Narike.
Among the renowned poets present in the poetry session were Dr. Santokh Sukhi, Gurcharan Singh Chan Patialvi, Kulwant Saidoke, Bachan Singh Gurm, Darshan Singh Darsh Pasiana, Lal Mistry, Dr. Inder Pal Singh, Navdeep Mundi, Dr. Ravi Bhushan, Avtarjit, Dr. Gurwinder Singh Aman, Gurmail Singh SDO, Mandeep Mendy, Kirpal Singh Moonak, Ram Singh Bang, Tejinder Anjana, Jaswinder Khara, Mangat Khan, Balbir Singh Dildar, Balwinder Bhatti, Dr. Tarlochan Kaur, Krishan Dhiman, Jaswinder Kaur, Sukhwinder Kaur Sukh, Balwinder Kaur Thind, Kuldeep Jodhpuri, Prof. Balwant Singh Balli, Joga Singh Dhanaula, Ripanjot Kaur Soni Bagga, Mahinder Singh Jaggi, besides Eng. Avtar Singh Mangat, Gursharan Jeet Singh, Rajeshwar Kumar, Rajesh Kotia, and Mukesh etc. The photography duties were performed brilliantly by Gurpreet Singh Jakhwali and Joga Singh Dhanaula.
