These views were expressed by Satish Kumar Soni, founder president of Adarsh Social Welfare Society (Regd) Punjab, during a press conference.
He said that the state government had talked about taking initiative for improving health and education when it came to power. Even after three and a half years of the government's tenure, both these departments are in a pitiful condition. Recently, there was a shortage of oxygen in Jalandhar due to which some precious lives have also been lost, this is a very unfortunate incident, our organization condemns it.
They demanded that a high-level investigation should be conducted into the culprits and a case of murder should be registered against the responsible persons. The Health Minister should also take responsibility for this, and the shortage of staff in all government hospitals in the state should be removed as soon as possible.
Blood banks in the hospitals that have been closed should be made operational as soon as possible so that the needy do not have to go to private institutions and fall victim to loot.
