Garhshankar- Today, Adarsh Social Welfare Society Punjab (Regd.) under the leadership of Founder President Satish Kumar Soni, planted medicated saplings in Shiv Mandir of village Roramjara on International My Tree Day. On this occasion, Principal Jagdish Rai Speaker Punjab, Surjit Singh District Chairman Hoshiapur, Master Prakash Ram Sarpanch, Yoga Raj Panch, Pandit Sachin Kumar Panch, Kuldeep Kumar Former Panch, eminent social worker Satnam Sahota, participated in a grand manner. On this occasion, first of all, Triveni (Peepal, Neem, Bohar) was worshipped.
After that, it was planted by the entire team present. On this occasion, Principal Jagdish Rai briefly explained the importance of the International My Tree, the words of My Tree itself show that My Tree means that we all should plant a tree in our name and nurture it, so that we can contribute to saving the environment.
Society President Satish Kumar Soni said that Adarsh Social Welfare Society Punjab has been contributing to saving the environment by planting saplings on different important occasions under the Beti Bachao, Dharti Bachao campaign for the last eight years and by going to schools, it awakens children by explaining the importance of plants in their lives.
On this occasion, Avnoor Singh, son of eminent social worker Satnam Sahota, celebrated his birthday by planting saplings. He said that it is a matter of happiness for me that I am celebrating my birthday today on My Tree Day by planting saplings. Instead of celebrating my birthday by cutting cakes, everyone should celebrate by planting saplings and contribute to making the environment around us clean.
On this occasion, the village Sarpanch Master Prakash Ram and the village Panch Sachin Kumar jointly praised the noble initiative taken by the Adarsh Social Welfare Society Punjab in their village on this auspicious occasion and said that such initiatives are the need of the hour, the environment which is being polluted by the smoke of vehicles and factories, only the plants with trivainiya are helpful in purifying it.
