Quarterly meeting of Zila Parishad Una concluded, extensive discussion on public problems and development works.

Una, July 15- The quarterly meeting of Zila Parishad Una was held in the Zila Parishad auditorium on Tuesday, which was chaired by Zila Parishad President Neelam Kumari. Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma was specially present in the meeting. In the meeting, income-expenditure approval of about Rs 3.61 crore was approved for the period from March to June 2025.

Una, July 15- The quarterly meeting of Zila Parishad Una was held in the Zila Parishad auditorium on Tuesday, which was chaired by Zila Parishad President Neelam Kumari. Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma was specially present in the meeting.
In the meeting, income-expenditure approval of about Rs 3.61 crore was approved for the period from March to June 2025.
Along with this, an amount of Rs 13 lakh for amendment in the action plans under the 15th Finance Commission and Rs 4.47 lakh for supplementary works was also approved. The officers were instructed to ensure that they upload the details of pending works on the District Panchayat Advancement Shelf Portal by July 31 along with the approval of the Gram Sabha.
During the meeting, the members placed before the officials the public problems related to roads, water supply, education, health, forest and electricity. The main demands were to repair the damaged culverts on Una-Bhota main road, Nalwari-Talmeda and Talmeda-Dehar-Rajpur road and to connect Budwar Panchayat with Lathiani-Mandali bridge.
MLA Vivek Sharma gave useful suggestions to speed up the development works and gave clear instructions to the officials that there should be no delay in the works of public interest. He also gave instructions to repair the hanging electricity wires near the houses, to improve the drainage system on the roadsides and to make the approach road along with all the culverts concrete.
During the meeting, Zila Parishad member Satish Sharma described the presence of the MLA as historic and said that for the first time in the last 29 years, an MLA from Kutlehar area has attended the Zila Parishad meeting.
During this, tribute was paid by observing two minutes of silence on the loss of life due to the recent natural disasters in the state. At the end of the meeting, the officials who did excellent work in various departments were also honored by the Zila Parishad.
District Council Vice President Omkar Nath Kasana, ADC Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar, District Panchayat Officer Shravan Kumar along with all the District Council members and district officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
