Garhshankar, July 13- Regarding the ongoing preparations for organizing “Rudra Abhishek Mahayag” programs in Garhshankar city and across the area in the coming days, a special meeting was held by the organizers at Prachin Shiv Mandir Salempur today under the leadership of Sandeep Sonu Thakur. During this meeting, a special discussion was held regarding the organization of Rudra Abhishek programs in the month of July, during this discussion Pankaj Shourie Garhshankar, Rajinder Prasad Khurmi, Kamal Kishore Noori and Inderjit Gogna arrived specially.
On this occasion, Pankaj Shourie from the organizing committee said that Rudra Abhishek programs are being organized in various temples of Garhshankar area in the month of Sawan. He said that the final outline in this regard will be announced in the coming few days. Under this series, the event to be held in Salempur village was discussed today, on which all the Shiv devotees took the decision to organize the program.
Sandeep Sonu Thakur said on this occasion that Rudra Abhishek is not just a method of worship but a spiritual process of connecting with Lord Shiva. In Abhishek, the Shivalinga is bathed by making Panch Amrit with water, milk, honey, ghee, Ganga water.
Quoting the Shiv Purana, he said that devotees who do Rudra Abhishek especially in the month of Sawan are freed from all sins and live in the land of Shiva. Mentioning the importance of Monday, he said that Monday, which is the day of Chandra Dev and the moon is usually on the head of Lord Shiva, is considered extremely auspicious for the worship of Lord Shiva. Mondays of Sawan are effective because in this season the influence of the sun is less and the influence of the moon is more.
The moon is the lord of the mind and this time is considered the best for mental purity, emotional balance, and spiritual advancement. Rudra Abhishek performed with devotion on this day calms the disorders of the mind, awakens the spirit of devotion, and the grace of God is quickly obtained.
