Written and directed by Amardeep Gill, 'Daro' revolves around a woman who fights for justice against poverty, system and power. It is not just a story of revenge, but also shows the fight for self-respect, courage and social justice.
Actress Kul Sidhu lived a close life with poverty and the oppressed classes to hone her character. Her acting is being considered as her most influential role till date. Along with them, the series will also feature veteran actors like Harinder Bhullar, Balwinder Dhaliwal, Guri Toor, Navi Bhangu and Aman Sutdhar.
The shooting has been done mainly in the villages of Punjab, due to which the audience gets a glimpse of a real Punjabi rural life. The natural simplicity of the scenes and modern direction ensure that the story reaches the heart of the audience.
