Red Cross and Hartek Foundation sign MoU on ADAPT Research Fellowship.

Hoshiarpur- Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between District Red Cross Society Hoshiarpur and Mohali-based Hartek Foundation. Under which the ADAPT Research Fellowship Programme will be launched. This initiative is being taken up by Hartek Foundation, which is the corporate social responsibility arm of the Hartek Group.

Under which the ADAPT Research Fellowship Programme will be launched. This initiative is being taken up by Hartek Foundation, which is the corporate social responsibility arm of the Hartek Group.
The Deputy Commissioner said that under this fellowship, Hartek Foundation will provide financial assistance (stipend) to selected research fellows. Who will work on various research and analytical projects with the district administration. The fellowship aims to strengthen analytical, research and management capabilities in various government departments.
He said that for effective implementation of this project, Assistant Commissioner Oshi Mandal (IAS) has been appointed as the nodal officer by the district administration, who will coordinate with the Red Cross and Heartech Foundation. The selection process for the fellowship will be done by the District Red Cross Society through print media, social media and colleges and educational institutions.
As per the eligibility criteria prescribed for this, the applicant should be an Indian citizen residing in India. Also, he should have a post graduation or technical degree in Economics, Statistics, Commerce, Mathematics (MA/MSc) or Computer Science (B.Tech/M.Tech). Candidates with experience in data analysis and policy research will be given preference. Skills in working with tools like Excel, Stata, R or Python will also be required. The applicant should not be eligible for any other fellowship at the time of selection.
The Deputy Commissioner said that this fellowship will be for a minimum period of one year, which can be extended based on performance. He described this initiative as an important step towards "Earn and Learn" for the youth which will provide them with an opportunity to engage with various projects of the administration and enable them to actively participate in the policy decision-making process.
