
Punjab Cabinet approves two important decisions regarding industrial plots.
Chandigarh, June 26 – The Punjab Cabinet has approved two important policies regarding conversion of industrial plots from leasehold to freehold and change in land use of industrial plots. Both these decisions were taken in the Punjab Cabinet meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Both these decisions were taken in the Punjab Cabinet meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Talking to reporters after the cabinet meeting, New and Renewable Energy Minister Aman Arora and Industries Minister Tarunpreet Singh Saund said that the industrialists of Punjab were demanding conversion of industrial plots from leasehold to freehold for a long time. This decision has been taken today in fulfillment of that demand.
Arora said that with this decision of the Punjab government, the state government will earn about Rs 1000 crore. He said that with the land use policy, people can run commercial establishments, hotels, convention centers, hospitals and hostels on industrial plots.
He said that these decisions will provide great relief to industrialists in Punjab who were not able to utilize their industrial land properly for a long time.
