S.A.S. Nagar, June 13- A district level condolence meeting was organized in Mohali today on the sudden and untimely demise of former Chief Minister of Gujarat in a plane crash. In this, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members of District Mohali paid tribute to Shri Vijay Rupani and all those who died in the plane crash.
BJP District President Shri Sanjeev Vashisht said that the demise of Rupani has given a big shock to the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was a grassroots leader and was handling the charge of Punjab for a long time. He worked continuously to strengthen the BJP in Punjab.
He said that the specialty of Shri Rupani was that he used to treat every small and big leader and worker of the party equally, and seeing his humility no one could say that he was a former Chief Minister. He said that we got the opportunity to learn a lot from Shri Rupani.
In the meeting, tribute was paid to Shri Rupani and prayers were offered that God may give place to his soul at his feet. Senior BJP leaders Sukhwinder Singh Goldy, Arjan Kusal, Kamal Saini, Ekta Nagpal, Mili Garg, Umakant Tiwari, Pawan Manocha, Abhishek Thakur, Jagdeep Aukhla, Gurjeet Gigemajra, Hardeep Baidwan, and Colonel Bhupinder Shahi were present on the occasion among others.
