Gurdaspur- A special meeting of the Overseas (Expatriate) Teachers Association was held at Edmonton Public Library Street 17 under the chairmanship of President Jasvir Singh Gill in which the past, future and present activities were reviewed. All the resolutions were unanimously accepted by the teacher colleagues.
This association continues to make successful efforts from time to time for the development and flourishing of literary activities, especially the Punjabi language, along with social welfare activities. Every year, International Teacher's Day, religious and government days are celebrated and supported. A special personality who has established or contributed to social, educational and other high-level achievements. 
They are also honored. Apart from this, contribution is made to the cleanliness campaign in schools, colleges, hospitals, religious places, etc. Special work is done during the summer vacations as per the need. Especially organizing camps for children and others, learning and teaching Punjabi language among other subjects, arranging grants for the poor. 
Helping the needy, contributing to health facilities, doing humanitarian work in collaboration with other organizations, participating and supporting social and social service works. Being active in various other aspects as per the need. Appreciating basic human values, highlighting the sense of social justice, personal conduct and moral values and creating sources of inspiration.
