Administration releases program for Nature Fest starting from February 21

Hoshiarpur- The district administration, in collaboration with the Punjab Tourism Department, is all set to organize various activities at the local Lajwanti Sports Stadium from February 21 to 25 along with the Nature Fest at the major tourist destinations of the district.

Giving information about the various events to be held during the five-day Nature Fest, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that the administration has released the program after discussing with all the participants. He said that the Nature Fest will start with bird watching at Pong Dam on the first day, while there will be a star night at Lajwanti Stadium in the evening.
In which famous Punjabi singer Alap Sikander will entertain the audience with his singing. He said that elaborate arrangements are being made to conduct the event smoothly and make it memorable. The entertaining activities will continue on the second day on February 22. These include night camping at Solis and Throli and cyclothon at Lajwanti Stadium, Kids Carnival at One Chetna Park and screening of India vs Pakistan match at the stadium on February 23.
Referring to off-roading, the Deputy Commissioner said that off-roading will be held at Kukanet, in which necessary arrangements are being made for the convenience of the participants. Nature retreat, booting and jungle safari at Chauhal and musical evening by Punjabi singer Kanwar Grewal will be the main attractions of the closing day.
Appealing to the people, especially the residents of Hoshiarpur district, to participate in the Nature Fest in large numbers, the Deputy Commissioner said that besides setting up a website Naturefesthsp.com to inform the people about the information related to the fest, a helpline number 90565-68870 has also been issued.
He said that the entire program will be full of entertainment and natural scenery and people should participate in the fest in large numbers to enjoy the rich natural heritage of the district.
