Hoshiarpur - "World Polio Day" was celebrated today at CHC Harta Badla under the direction of Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Pawan Kumar and senior medical officer in charge Dr. Manpreet Singh Bains.
Dr. Kulwant Roy, the medical officer present on the occasion, said that "World Polio Day" is celebrated on 24th October every year. He said that though India is polio free, polio is still present in some countries and may come back again. So don't let any gap in your child's health safety. Polio dose has been given to children between 0-5 years of age so that the child can be protected from polio disease and also to maintain the country's victory over polio.
He said that even if the child is sick, the child is new-born, the child is traveling, even if the child has already taken the drops, give the child two drops of polio vaccine. With this we can make a huge contribution to the health security of our children and to keep India polio free.
