Chandigarh, August 20 - The Haryana government has appealed to the people of the state to pay special attention to cleanliness in their surroundings and inside their homes, because during the rainy season, flies and mosquitoes multiply, which make cleanliness very important to prevent.
A government spokesperson, while giving information in this regard, said that mosquitoes that spread malaria breed in stagnant dirty water, while mosquitoes that spread dengue breed in clean water. All people should clean water tanks properly from time to time and keep them completely covered.
He advised that in case of dengue, symptoms like sudden high fever, especially after a few days, high fever subsides and then comes back, severe headache, pain in muscles, bones and joints, vomiting, fatigue etc. are seen. If any of these symptoms occur, immediately contact the nearest hospital and get tested. Take medicine only after consulting a doctor.
He said that one should maintain cleanliness near the house, do not let water collect inside the house and in the nearby gutters. If the cooler is not being used, then do not let water collect in it. Also empty the water collecting tray kept under the fridge daily.
Fill the gutters with soil. Keep the stagnant water clean so that water does not accumulate in them and mosquitoes do not get a chance to breed. Every Sunday, observe dry day by cleaning the house and the nearby area.
