Bullawadi Chowk dedicated to Rai Sahib Chaudhary Gian Singh.
Hoshiarpur- On the occasion of the 66th death anniversary of Rai Sahib Chaudhary Gian Singh, the founder and first president of the Bharatiya Kshatriya Ghrit Bahti Chahang Mahasabha, Bullawadi Chowk was named ‘Rai Sahib Chaudhary Gian Singh Chowk’ in his honour. On this historic occasion, Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal and MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa jointly inaugurated it and paid tributes.

Lok Sabha member Dr. Rajkumar Chabbewal said on the occasion that Rai Sahib Chaudhary Gian Singh was a visionary social worker and administrator, who played an important role in organizing the society and spreading social awareness. He said that his life is still a source of inspiration for the society.
MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa said in his address that Rai Sahib not only gave direction to the society, but his thinking was to take everyone along. He said that naming Bullawadi Chowk after him is a true tribute to him and will continue to remind the coming generations of his contribution.
On the occasion, on the appeal of the assembly, the Lok Sabha member and MLA announced a grant of Rs. 10 lakh for the construction of ‘Gyan Bhawan’ for the Khatri community. All the guests at the function shed light on the life of Chaudhary Gian Singh and paid heartfelt tribute to him.
On the occasion, a large number of dignitaries and locals including Mayor Surinder Kumar, Deputy Mayor Ranjit Chaudhary, Chairman of Hoshiarpur Cooperative Bank Vikram Sharma, Councilor Pradeep Bittu, Dr. Prem Kumar, Dr. Santokh Singh, Principal Ram Gopal, Lalit Kishore Patial, Varinder Singh, Vijay Kumar, Anil Gautam, Mulakh Raj, Jagdev Bharwal, Sher Singh, Comrade Ganga Prasad and Varinder Vaid were present.
