Garhshankar, June 1 - Akhtar Kumar from village Pandori in Beit area has demanded from the Public Works Department that the Bhandiyar link road from village Pandori should be repaired immediately. He demanded that due to the dilapidated condition of this road, the common people living there and passing through it have to face problems every day.
He said that the condition of the rainwater drain built along the road has also become very bad. Due to which there is a fear of damage to the houses of the people living there. It is worth mentioning that during the last rains, there was such a flood in village Pandori that many people suffered a loss of lakhs of rupees.
He said that the distance from Pandori to Bhandiyar link road and Pandori Oparla Pasa Chowk to the boundary of the Dargah of Pir Baba Pakki Beri is about 100 meters. The condition of the drain, which is about 20 years old and built on the left side of the road, is very pitiful.
Due to the damaged and broken drain, water has entered the foundations of the adjacent houses, and the cement of the walls inside the houses has deteriorated and cracks have also appeared on the walls of the houses.
Due to which, not only has there been a huge threat to the safety of the houses, but also during the rainy days, water enters the houses of the people living nearby. The tragedy is so great that this drain has not been rebuilt or repaired for the last 20 years.
