Police officials briefed budding players on ill effects of drugs.

SAS Nagar, May 25: As part of the ongoing campaign of the Punjab government, ‘Yudh Nasheya Lawal’, DSP City-2 Harsimran Singh Bal and SHO Sohana, Simran Singh interacted with budding football players at Sports Complex, Sector 78 to create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

SAS Nagar, May 25: As part of the ongoing campaign of the Punjab government, ‘Yudh Nasheya Lawal’, DSP City-2 Harsimran Singh Bal and SHO Sohana, Simran Singh interacted with budding football players at Sports Complex, Sector 78 to create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.
The players of St. Stephen’s School and GMADA Football Academy, which included both boys and girls, were briefed about the government’s initiatives against drug trafficking. The officials appealed to the young players to support the efforts aimed at eradicating drugs from Punjab.
DSP Harsimran Singh Bal said that the enthusiastic young footballers actively participated in the campaign, and expressed their commitment against drug use by raising slogans like “Jago Jago, Neshe Tyago”.
He further said that under the leadership of SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans, Mohali Police is conducting awareness campaigns in schools, localities and playgrounds to keep the youth away from drugs. DSP Bal appealed to the people to report any information related to drug peddlers on the anti-drug helpline 97791-00200. He assured that the identity of the informants would be kept completely confidential.
