Chandigarh, May 22 - A panic situation prevailed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court this morning after a bomb threat. The High Court Bar Association has issued an urgent advisory asking the bar members to vacate the courtroom.

The Bar Association has appealed to all members to be vigilant in the notice and has requested them to vacate the courts immediately as a precautionary measure. The notice reads, “If any suspicious or unattended item is found inside the premises, please inform the office of the High Court Bar Association, Chandigarh immediately.”
The association’s honorary secretary Gagandeep Jammu said in a message that the court proceedings will resume at 2:00 pm. Security personnel have been instructed to be alert and the building is being thoroughly searched.
