Jammu, May 22: Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation after an encounter with suspected terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar today. Officials said that a gunfight broke out between security forces and suspected terrorists during a search operation launched after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the Shingpura area of ??Chhatru.
The White Knight Corps said in a post on 'X', "This morning, an encounter with terrorists took place during a joint operation with the police in Chhatru, Kishtwar." They said that additional personnel have been deployed and a search operation is underway to find the terrorists. According to the report, two to three terrorists are hiding in the area.
