SAS Nagar, May 19- Aam Aadmi Ghar Bachao Morcha said that there is a huge difference between what the Revenue Minister of Punjab and the Punjab Government says and does, and the Government has failed to solve the registry issue in three years.
In a statement issued here, the leaders of the Morcha, Convenor Harminder Singh Mavi, Legal Advisor Advocate Darshan Singh Dhaliwal, Sarabjit Singh and Ajaib Singh Hasanpur said that Revenue Minister of Punjab Mr. Hardeep Singh Mundian had given a statement at Machhiwara a few days ago that no NOC is required for property registry in the Tehsils of Punjab, and if any Tehsildar or Naib Tehsildar demands NOC, it should be immediately brought to his notice.
The leaders said that today no registry was done without NOC in any tehsil of SAS Nagar district, including Gharuan, Kharar, Block Majri, Mohali, Zirakpur and Derabassi, and people returned to their homes in humiliation.
They said that it has been more than three years since the present Aam Aadmi Party government came to power, but the issue of property registry in the state is still pending, and lakhs of people of Punjab are facing trouble in tehsils on a daily basis due to this. They said that due to non-resolution of this issue, the government exchequer is losing crores of rupees.
They said that even the registration of properties within the Lal Lakir of villages is not being done, due to which about 70 percent of the population of Punjab is getting affected, especially the poor, landless and labourers, who had given the maximum votes to the Aam Aadmi Party during the elections.
He appealed to the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann and the Revenue Minister to formulate a separate and simple policy by abolishing all the conditions related to illegal colonies, red lines of villages and areas where people have been living for decades by building their houses, and immediately issue written orders in this regard so that the people of Punjab can live in peace in their homes.
He said that due to the ban on registry by the government, poor people cannot take loan on their houses, cannot sell them, and cannot even construct, due to which people working in the property sector have become unemployed. Apart from this, sand, gravel, transport, masons, laborers, electricians and small traders have also become unemployed, due to which an atmosphere of instability has been created in the society.
Due to this bureaucratic attitude, there is a lot of anger among the people towards the current government, and if these demands of the residents of the state are not met, then Aam Aadmi Party will have to bear the brunt of it in the 2027 elections.
