Hoshiarpur- A special awareness programme was organized by EPFO Regional Office Jalandhar at Quantum Paper Mills Limited, Saila Khurd today to inform and promote Pradhan Mantri Samayat Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY).

The main objective of this scheme is to create 3.5 crore new formal employment opportunities in the country, for which a budgetary provision of ?99,446 crore has been made by the Central Government. Under the scheme, an incentive of up to ?15,000 will be given to EPFO registered new employees on getting employment for the first time in two installments—one on completion of 6 months of employment and the other on completion of 12 months and financial literacy training.
In addition, employers employing new employees will get ?1,000 to ?3,000 per month per employee for two years, while this benefit has been extended to four years for the construction sector.
The event was chaired by Mr. Pankaj Kumar, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (RPFC-I), while Mr. Pankaj Sarpal, DPA from EPFO Jalandhar, conducted the entire session smoothly.
Mr. Satyavan Singh, Assistant Director, ESIC, gave information about SPREE 2025 (Scheme for Promotion of Registration of Employers and Employees). This scheme will provide an opportunity to employers and employees to voluntarily register with ESIC from 1st July to 31st December 2025 without any old dues, scrutiny or penalty. This scheme is an important step towards increasing social security coverage.
On this occasion, Enforcement Officers of EPFO Shri Deepak Kumar, Shri Begraj and Branch Manager Shri Balwant Singh were also present. Many senior officials including Shri Ajay Sharma (AVP-HR), Shri M.R. Yadav (GM-Administration), Shri Sudhir Kumar Tiwari (AGM-HR) and Shri Rohit Sharma (Senior Manager-HR) were present from Quantum Paper Mills Limited.
Representatives of several industrial units and HR managers participated in the program and got detailed information about the schemes. All termed this initiative of the government as a decisive step taken towards a safe, formal and developed employment system.
