Nominations invited for ICCW Bravery Awards for Children & Youth- 2025

SAS Nagar, May 14: Indian Council for Child Welfare has invited the applications for ICCW Bravery Awards for Children & Youth - 2025. Divulging the details, Dr Pritam Sidhu, Secretary, Child Welfare Council, Punjab said that for these awards, nominations of eligible children between 6 to 18 years of age (Child Award) or 18 to 24 years of age (Youth Award) can be submitted through Deputy Commissioner Office.

Divulging the details, Dr Pritam Sidhu, Secretary, Child Welfare Council, Punjab said that for these awards, nominations of eligible children between 6 to 18 years of age (Child Award) or 18 to 24 years of age (Youth Award) can be submitted through Deputy Commissioner Office.
    Elaborating more details, she said that the cases of saving children from drowning and from beastly attack by wild animals are symbols of bravery but there must be many more instances, where the particular act of bravery of a child is distinctly visible. It should be an act of spontaneous selfless service in the face of risk to life, threat of physical injury and or an act of courage and daring against a social evil/crime.
     She said that the nominations must reach to Child Welfare Council office through Deputy Commissioner Offices latest by 5th October, 2025, in respect of incidents having occurred between 1st July, 2024 to 30th September, 2025. Each application must be accompanied with "On the Spot Verification" of the case. The application must be recommended by the Principal/Headmaster of the school/college in which the applicant is studying, President or General Secretary or any other Office Bearer of the State/UT Council for Child Welfar or Any retired Government Officer.
    She said that incomplete applications or those not sent in the prescribed format will be rejected. Furthermore, it should be ensured that all supporting documents are duly authenticated by the listed competent authorities and that all documents in the local/regional language are accompanied with translations in Hindi/English. Newspaper clippings/Magazine clippings must be attached with the application form.    
      These awards contain cash awards of Rs. 1,00,000/- for ICCW Bharat Award Rs 75,000 each for ICCW Dhruv Award  ICCW Markandeya Award, ICCW Shravan Award, ICCW Prahlad Award, ICCW Eklavya Award, ICCW Abhimanyu Award and Rs 40,000 for General Awards besides a medal (Gold/Silver) and a certificate.
