Rajpura, May 13- A meeting of Retired Pensioner Welfare Association Registered Rajpura was held to discuss the resolution of several issues.
Giving information in this regard, Association President Vijay Taneja, President Radha Krishna Bhateja and Legal Advisor Gurdeep Singh Bhogal said that the dues of retired employees for several years were pending with the Punjab Government, and with the efforts of the union, the dues have been paid to many members of the association, and the remaining members will get the dues through cheques in the coming days.
They demanded from the Punjab Government that the dues of retired employees should be paid in lump sum instead of installments. He said that if the employee gets lump sum money, then some big work can be done with it, but when this money comes in pieces, it gets spent on minor expenses. He also demanded from the Punjab Government that a good policy should be made for the welfare of pensioners.
On the occasion, members of the association including Secretary Harpreet Singh, Treasurer Subhash Gupta, Vice President Jasbir Singh Hulka, Kashmir Singh, among others were present.
