Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis told reporters at Vidhan Bhavan, “Dhananjay Munde has submitted his resignation. I have accepted it and sent it to Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan.”
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis resigned after strong demands from the opposition to remove Munde from the cabinet. Fadnavis held a late-night meeting with Deputy Chief Minister and NCP chief Ajit Pawar on Monday, which included Munde and senior NCP leaders. Earlier, the demand for the boy's resignation had intensified from the opposition after the bloody photos and details of the court chargesheet related to the murder of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh of Masjog ??village have come to light. These photos and videos have revealed that the Sarpanch was murdered in a very brutal manner.
Deshmukh, the Sarpanch of Masjog ??village in Beed, was abducted on December 9 last year on the charge of trying to stop an extortion attempt targeting an energy company in the district and then tortured to death.
