Patiala- The news of deaths and disasters during wars has created fear among the people because some countries are using chemical, nuclear, atomic, bombs, missiles that cause terrible destruction. This fear was expressed by the Principal of Sony Public School Patiala, Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur, Chairman Varinder Singh and Director Mrs. Amarjit Kaur after listening to the news coming through the media about the destruction caused by bombs, missiles and the news coming from Mr. Kaka Ram Verma.
He said that in today's time, it is necessary to provide training to students, teachers, employees, citizens to protect themselves and help the victims during wars. Buildings and commercial establishments are also filled with destructive gases, petroleum, materials, electricity, flammable things, but rescue training is never given.
On this occasion, Shri Kaka Ram Verma, who is a Disaster Management Civil Defense First Aid Fire Safety Trainer from the Government of India, said that six types of disasters like fires, poisonous gases, smoke spread, buildings collapse, strong explosions, bright lights, lack of oxygen, people stop breathing due to heart attacks, cardiac arrest, excessive bleeding, deaths due to being buried in debris and later diseases occur.
He said that in order to always be ready for our own survival and to save the lives of the victims, we should prepare emergency relief teams in every street, neighborhood, and commercial establishments by conducting training, exercises, mock drills twice a year. Because during the continuous wars, hospitals, roads, relief work and administration can also be helpless.
Dry rations, pure water, first aid boxes should be kept ready. Trench or bunkers should also be prepared in parks, educational institutions, playgrounds, villages. When sirens sound or bombs and missiles fall, they trained people to lie on the ground in the ventilator position to prevent gases and smoke from entering the airways and to rescue and transport the victims. Kaka Ram Verma said that information on first aid, CPR, recovery position, ventilator artificial respiration is given by them at educational institutions, factories, training camps.
Soon, training on disasters during wars, use of cylinders, first aid, CPR, ventilator artificial respiration and rescue will be given free of cost to students, teachers, police factory employees, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets. Dr. Rakesh Vermi, President, Harpreet Singh Sandhu, Secretary, Dedicated Brothers Group Patiala, appreciated the efforts of Kaka Ram Verma and said that they will honor the trainees by giving them certificates.
