Chandigarh, June 22 - On the occasion of the conclusion of the Swachhta Pakhwada being run by the state government and the district administration, a public participation program called "Milke Raho, Khulke Jio" was organized at Shraddhanand Park in New Colony of Palwal city today, in which the state's Minister of State for Sports, Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, Legal and Legislative Affairs, Mr. Gaurav Gautam attended as the chief guest.
On this occasion, Minister Shri Gaurav Gautam also launched the logo of MC Palwal and reiterated his commitment to realize the vision of Swachh Palwal-Sunder Palwal and Harit Palwal and said that the main objective of the government and the district administration is to make Palwal clean, beautiful and green and make it number one in the entire country, for this, all possible efforts are being made by the government and the district administration. He also gave necessary guidelines to the officers of the Nagar Parishad.
He said that we should not hesitate and be ashamed in adopting cleanliness, wherever such a cleanliness campaign is going on, we should go there and do shramdaan.
He said that in the coming time, the cleanliness system of Palwal will be seen perfectly, for which all kinds of facilities are being provided to the Nagar Parishad to make Palwal clean and hygienic.
He said that with the aim of beautifying Palwal, the work of painting the underpasses and intersections of the city with wall paintings of historical heritages and great personalities is in progress.
Appealing to the general public, especially the youth, to adopt a clean and healthy lifestyle, he said that the Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Haryana Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini is committed to bringing cleanliness and hygiene to every home, for which a person will have to make cleanliness a part of his daily life.
On this occasion, the Minister, while planting a sapling, gave a message of environmental protection to the general public. He said that the Earth is our mother and protecting it is our first religion. Every person should participate in the One Tree Mother and Name campaign and plant at least one sapling and should also take a pledge to protect it.
On this occasion, he honored the cleanliness warriors by presenting them with safety jackets as well as certificates of appreciation.
