Nawanshahr-- Delegate meeting (GN Food) of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited Circle Nawanshahr was organized at Banga Road Nawanshahr. In which delegates and pensioners from Goraya, Nawanshahr, Banga and Garhshankar divisions coming under Circle Nawanshahr participated in large numbers.
State Committee Vice President Shri Ram Jaggi and State Finance Secretary DK Mehta reached this election meeting to conduct the election. Circle Secretary Shiv Kumar Tiwari presented the report of the work done during his previous tenure. Finance Secretary Kulwinder Singh Atwal presented the report of income and expenditure. Which was passed unanimously by the delegates and speakers present on this occasion.
Circle Pradhan Narinder Kumar Mehta while addressing said that whatever struggles were done in the past against the Punjab Government and the Management of Power Corporation to get the demands of pensioners accepted, the pensioners of Circle Nawanshahr contributed enthusiastically in those struggles and to further strengthen the organization, membership was further increased by establishing contact with each pensioner. After that, the Circle Pradhan dissolved the Circle Committee and the proceedings register for the election of the new committee was handed over to the leaders of the State Committee.
When the leaders of the State Committee started the election process, the representatives present unanimously elected the Circle Committee in the following manner. Among them, Patron Balveer Singh Dosanjh, President Kulwinder Singh Atwal, Senior Vice President Balwinder Pal Gurayan, Vice President Naseeb Chand Noura, General Secretary Ashwani Kumar Gadhshankar, Assistant Secretary Niranjan Singh Kangan, Finance Secretary Vijay Kumar Nawanshahr, Press Secretary Jagdish Chandra Balachaur, Auditor Malkit Singh Banga and Organization Secretary Kulwinder Singh Gorayan were elected.
The office bearers of the elected committee assured the pensioners present that they will work with determination to strengthen the organization further and whatever struggle the state committee will make for the rights and demands of the pensioners, it will be implemented with full determination. The election session was addressed by representatives like Shambhu Narayan Singh Rahon, Juginder Singh Begumpur, Madan Lal Ramrai Pur, Ramlubhaya Ladhana, Kamaldev Gadhshankar, Balwinder Pal Gurayan etc.
