National Lok Adalat to be organized by District Legal Services Authority on May 10

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, May 6: As per the schedule issued by National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, the second National Lok Adalat of the year 2025 will be organized on 10.05.2025 under the leadership of Shri Utal Kasana, District and Sessions Judge, SAS Nagar in all the courts of District SAS Nagar, in which resignable criminal cases, check bounce cases, bank recovery cases, marital disputes, MACT cases, labor disputes, land acquisition cases, electricity and water bills, revenue department related and all kinds of civil cases will be considered.

In this regard, Mrs. Surbhi Parashar, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar held meetings from time to time with the officers of various departments of the Central and Punjab Government such as Telephone Department, Banks, Insurance Companies, Electricity Department, Water Supply and Sanitation Department etc. and the officers were motivated to dispose of the cases pending in various courts through the National Lok Adalat being held on 10.05.2025. Apart from this, she is holding meetings at the block level with the Sarpanches of various villages of the district so that maximum people can take advantage of this Lok Adalat.
She also informed that in this National Lok Adalat, such cases which have not yet been filed in any court and fall under the above categories can be filed in the Lok Adalat.
The Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, while giving information about the benefits of Lok Adalats, said that once the decision is made in the Lok Adalat, the court fee incurred in the cases is refunded, there is no appeal against the decision of these cases.
