
8 NSS Cadets to represent Punjab in Republic Day Parade (New Delhi) Volunteers.
Youth Services Department is always keen to conduct youth welfare activities in the State of Punjab. For this purpose, the Youth Services Department will channelize the energy of students and non-student youth in a constructive direction; and has always provided a platform to the youth to participate in State and National level activities to meet their physical, intellectual, moral, emotional, cultural, spiritual and material needs.

In connection with the Republic Day celebrations to be organized at Delhi by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, 8 NSS Volunteers (4 Boys + 4 Girls) of Punjab State will participate in the Republic Day Parade Camp. These volunteers belong to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab University, Chandigarh, Punjab Central University, Bathinda, Lovely Professional University, Kapurthala, GNA University, Phagwara and Chandigarh University, Gharuana; These volunteers will represent Punjab in the Republic Day Parade after qualifying in the State Pre-RD Camp selection. These NSS Volunteers will participate in the Republic Day Parade on 26th January 2025.
Accordingly, in connection with this programme, today on 23-12-2024, State NSS Cell Punjab has been selected from the State of Punjab; SP Anand, IFS, Special Secretary, Government of Punjab, Sports & Youth Services, Punjab, Kulwinder Singh, Deputy Director, Youth Services, Department (Head Office) Sector-42A, Chandigarh, a group of NSS Youth Services, Punjab and Mrs. Rupinder Kaur, Assistant Director, Youth Services, Punjab, congratulated the volunteers from the State of Punjab for representing Punjab for this programme.
