Naya Gaon (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), April 29: Following the directions of Deputy Commissioner Smt Komal Mittal, the Municipal Council, Naya Gaon has launched a night cleaning campaign. Under this, the Municipal Council would clean streets and markets of various wards at night.
Giving the details, the Executive Officer of the Municipal Council, Ravneet Singh said that there is a lot of traffic on the roads/streets during the day, considering which this cleaning work has been started at night. He said that now with such cleaning of the roads and surroundings, people will get a clean and pure environment in the morning.
He appealed to the residents of the city to sagrigate the wet and dry garbage of their houses and shops and give it to the sanitation workers.  Apart from this, banned single plastic and polythenes should be avoided and a cloth bag should be carried while going for shopping to the market. He said that this cleanliness drive can be successful only with the cooperation of the people, therefore, by cooperating with the sanitation workers of the Municipal Council, garbage should not be thrown on the roads in the open.
He said that the Municipal Council has deployed special cleaning teams with the help of the sanitation workers, who are taking care of the cleaning work every night so that the city can be kept clean.
