Nawanshahr- The monthly meeting of Senior Citizens Association Nawanshahr was held at Deputy Commissioner Meeting Hall Nawanshahr under the patronage of Chairman Dr. JD Verma and the chairmanship of President Professor SK Bruta. At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman Dr. JD Verma congratulated all the members on International Women's Day.

President Bruta gave detailed information about the activities and issues discussed in the meeting of Federation of Senior Citizens Associations held at Baiji's Kutia Nawanshahr last month. General Secretary SK Puri told about the activities during the monthly meeting held last month.
The members whose birthdays or wedding anniversaries fall in the month of March were congratulated and wished by the presidium by presenting flowers. Apart from this, the new members who joined the association were welcomed by presenting flowers. Member Ashwani Joshi raised the issue of the bye-laws of the association. Which was postponed till the next election of the association with the consent of the members present in the meeting.
Member Jeevan Kumar and some other members entertained by singing songs. Executive Committee Member Lalit Kumar Ohri presented his views in detail on the contribution of women to society and their importance in society on the occasion of International Women's Day. Guriqbal Kaur Babli, mother of former Vidhan Sabha Nawanshahr MLA Angad Singh Saini, who was specially present in the meeting, also congratulated all the members on International Women's Day and presented views on the valuable contribution and importance of women to society.
A Tambola game was also played for the entertainment of the members, the winners of which were also given prizes. One of the members who came on time to the meeting was also given the time limit award. At the end of the meeting, a two-minute silence was observed to pay tribute to the members or their relatives who had passed away in the last month. A large number of members were present on this occasion.
