Gharuan/Kharar (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), April 17: Chamkaur Sahib Assembly Constituency MLA Dr. Charanjit Singh today inaugurated various development works worth Rs. 66.50 lakh in four schools of Gharuan Kanungoi under Punjab Shiksha Kranti Abhiyan and dedicated them to the students.
Now in his address on this occasion, he said that today not only these four schools of Gharuan but also development works worth Rs. 100 crore have been inaugurated. The Punjab Government led by Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann is doing the work of changing the face of 20 thousand government schools in the whole of Punjab at a cost of Rs. 66.50 lakh.
He said that this honest policy of the Punjab Government is not being digested by the opposition parties, because during their time they did not pay any attention towards improving the condition of government schools.
He said that today when the education budget of Punjab has reached Rs 19 thousand crores and the government is taking big steps to improve this sector by considering health and education as important in the whole of Punjab, on that occasion the opposition parties should come forward to praise this step of the government, and not find an excuse to criticize through petty things. Chamkaur Sahib MLA Dr. Charanjit Singh inaugurated classroom renovation works at the cost of Rs 18.13 lakh in Government Primary School Gharuan (Boys) of the constituency under Gharuan Kanungoi. Complete development works were inaugurated at the cost of Rs 3.75 lakh in Government Primary School Fatehpur Theri. Rs 3.40 lakh was inaugurated in Government Primary School Roorkee Pukhta. Rs 41.22 lakh was dedicated to the students by inaugurating and inaugurating in Government High School Roorkee Pukhta. On this occasion, while congratulating the students, he said that the Punjab government is committed to provide them facilities and standards of education at par with private schools and under this commitment, this education revolution is a medium to present the reforms made in the schools of Punjab before the people.
On this occasion, heads and teachers of these schools, parents of children, village Panch-Sarpanch and other dignitaries of the area were present.
